Should you wish to use a piece of your own wood, we would be delighted to handcraft a luxury custom handmade pen of your choosing to offer you an even more intimate and meaningful experience with our business.

If your wood piece does not match the dimensions, please do not hesitate to send me a request and we will figure out a way to make your vision a reality.

As we also do our own resin casting you could also just send us something of meaning, and we will work diligent to present you an idea. This could be piece of driftwood from your last vacation, a table leg, a handle from a tool, or many other items.

If you want a full wood custom handmade pen, without resin, please be aware that the wood needs to fill the minimum dimensional requirement, shown in the picture. Not all woods can be turned as is, some have to be stabilized in a way to make the wood robust enough to be turned on a wooden lathe. Don’t you worry, we also do this, it is just taking more time.

Shine Finish for Wood Pens

Our glass-like finish offers a breathtaking shine that is highly durable. With this gloss, you will not need to refinish your pen after years of use. While you are not able to feel the wood itself, the shine finish is ultra-smooth like freshly polished glass offering a comfortable and elegant feel.

This shine finish is achieved by sanding, polishing, and waxing that occurs of the course of 2 days at a minimum. The final result is a glamourous pen that is unmatched in its style and quality.

 

Natural Finish for Wood Pens

Our pens are coated with a nontoxic, water resistant “high friction polish” that blends fine scratches leaving a flawless semi-gloss finish. The final product is achieved with multiple coats of Australian Shella wax that is durable and radiant. The feel of the natural finish offers an experience that reflects that of touching the body of a guitar which is unparalleled.

As the pen has a wax coating, over time it will begin to wear down. Therefore, we suggest refinishing with a light wax coat. You may find the instructions here, along with our recommended wax.

The process of each pen is unique and takes a minimum of 2 days to complete to ensure you are offered a product of pure excellence.
